China Glaze - Fast Track

The Hunger Games movie just came out, and it was AMAZING.  I loved every second of it, and I've read all three of the books several times over the past year.  To say I'm a fangirl is sort of an understatement.  I even managed to convince The Boyfriend to read them, and he really liked them too.  Despite his interest in the series, I'm pretty sure he's getting sick of me gushing about Katniss non-stop.

Over the winter, when I head China Glaze was releasing the Capitol Colours collection, I pretty much lost my mind.  I knew when March 1st rolled around I'd be buying polishes.  I managed to snag four of them from my local Sally's.  I picked up Luxe and Lush, Smoke and Ashes, Dress Me Up, and Fast Track.  Fast Track is my new favorite neutral, and that's what we have today.

I never expected to love a beige polish so much.  I'm very much a purple sparkly girl, but this one really surprised me.  It's SO chic and clean looking.  At one coat, it looks like pantyhose with a bright gold glass fleck (it looks very much like CG White Cap from the Spring 2011 Anchors Away collection, which I also liked, just with a nude base).  At two, it's totally opaque.  I did three coats because I have some slight damage on my tips right now, and certain areas are whiter than the others.  The formula is smooth, not runny, and it dries lightning quick.
Forgive the redness in the first photo, please.  My lighting situation is pretty rough here, and I'm going to be working on making a light box soon.

I start my new bank job tomorrow, so I thought this would be pretty and work appropriate.  AND STILL SPARKLY.  What are some of your favorite work-safe polishes?

Darling Diva Polish - Dreamy

I love holos.  Looooove them.  Nothing makes me turn into a pile of jelly faster.  I have tons of them already, and the other day I was cruising Etsy for polish and I stumbled onto Darling Diva Polish.  It only took me two seconds to decide to give them a shot, so I ordered Dusky Sky, Darling Raver, and Dreamy, which I'll show to you today.

Dreamy is a sheer holo top coat, so you can turn any non-holo polish you have into an OMGRAINBOWSPLOSION.  I was actually feeling like having neutral nails, so I did two coats of Dreamy over one coat of Essie Vanity Fairest (with my usual Orly Bonder basecoat/INM Out The Door topcoat combo), and this is what you get.  It's like my own nails, but with way more rainbows.
Another holding the Essie bottle.  Those mini bottles are hard to hold.

And a closeup of my thumb.  Please feel free to drool over the rainbow goodness.  I did.  The holo is STRONG in this.

Carrie at DDP is awesome.  I ordered on the 20th and got them in the mail today.  Amazing.  She also chucked a sweet package of flower seeds and some lipgloss in my package.  The formula on this was super smooth and it dried quickly.  I can already tell that I'll be ordering more of her creations in the future.

Hello!

I'm Ashley, and welcome to Paint All The Nails!  I'm 26 and I live in Connecticut with my boyfriend, a roommate, and my two cats (who will probably get featured on here at some point, and if they don't, their fluff will because it's always all over my hands and thus, on my polish).  I'm a music student and I teach clarinet lessons.  I also have a real job at a bank because I need to do something to pay the bills while I finish school.

I looooooove nail polish, and my collection is already pretty ridiculous.  They currently live in a Melmer that I nabbed on sale at Michael's, and I do my nails almost daily.  I'll be posting reviews and pictures of my favorites for everyone to see, so come by often!
